THE TSHEDISA INSTITUTE is a centre where all health care providers can safely address their physical, emotional & spiritual concerns. By offering innovative strategies in medicine, psychological treatment & counselling, HIV/AIDS prevention, testing and treatment & creative arts therapy -- doctors, nurses, counsellors and staff can obtain a broad range of allopathic and alternative psychological support and medical care.
Free walk in voluntary HIV testing and counselling is available throughout the week or by appointment. Comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment & care is provided free of charge by appointment. One-on-one counselling services are available free of charge for health care providers and their families by appointment or walk-in.
A variety of classes in the creative arts and drop-in support groups are offered throughout the week (see schedule below). No previous experience is necessary. Cost of all classes is 20 pula or “pay as you can.”
Training and certification in Care for the Caregiver Advance Skills for the Counsellor, Stress Management, Creative Arts Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy are currently being offered through the end of 2006.
